CXR Fortress truck bed racks have the unique capability of a secondary level of load handling.
The Substructure Bars consist of aluminum bars that span the width of your truck bed and attach to our BRS (Base Rail System)
This secondary level can be used for carrying many items, including the following:
Cargo trays
Rifle cases
WaterPorts
The Outrigger Extensions are a longer version of the substructure bars that extend 9” past the side of the rack, most commonly used for carrying bikes (see pics).
The cross section of the bars supplied measures 1.5” x 1.5” (if a different sized bar is required, shoot us an email or give us a call). The bars are made from T-track aluminum for limitless attachment points.
