The 4-leg configuration provides a clean, versatile setup with excellent access to the sides of the truck bed. Yes. A Softopper can be folded with a CXR Fortress bed rack installed, but the folding procedure is slightly different than the traditional Softopper method. When folded normally, the Softopper frame increases in height and can interfere with the bottom of the bed rack.

To fold the Softopper beneath the CXR Fortress, unsnap the canvas along the sides, remove the straps from the D-rings and temporarily release the tubular frame from the mounting pins. This allows the Softopper frame to drop lower before the assembly is folded forward. Once folded, the frame can be reattached to the pins to keep the canopy secure.
